Abstract
A system for monitoring an infusion pump includes an infusion pump with at least one sensor for acquiring sensor data, a monitoring server with a monitoring module with a receiving unit, and a transmission unit for transmitting the sensor data to the receiving unit of the monitoring module. The monitoring module is configured to determine the state of the infusion pump based on the sensor data and derive a safety-relevant classification of the infusion pump from the state of the infusion pump.
Claims19
A system for monitoring an infusion pump, the system comprising:
- an infusion pump with at least one sensor for acquiring sensor data;
- a monitoring server with a monitoring module with a receiving unit;
- and
- a transmission unit for transmitting the sensor data to the receiving unit of the monitoring module,
- the monitoring module being configured to determine a state of the infusion pump based on the sensor data and to derive a safety-relevant classification of the infusion pump from the state of the infusion pump.
The system according to claim 1, wherein the monitoring module comprises a model that is customizable and/or learnable for the safety-relevant classification. The system according to claim 5, wherein the model comprises an algorithm that is a prediction approach.
A method for monitoring an infusion pump comprising the steps of:
- acquiring sensor data from the infusion pump;
- entering the sensor data into a mathematical model;
- classifying a state of the infusion pump using the mathematical model.
