A truncated fragment of platelet surface antigen GpIbα, a variant, or an encoding polynucleotide thereof, wherein the truncated fragment or the variant has following characteristics:
- it is derived from an extracellular region of the GpIbα protein and it has binding sites for in vivo platelet autoantibody.
A method for preparing a competitive antigen or a construct or composition comprising the antigen, preparing a construct or composition for targeting and eliminating reactive B lymphocytes, preparing a construct or composition for increasing platelets, or preparing a construct or composition for alleviating or treating immune thrombocytopenia purpura;
- said method comprising using of a platelet surface antigen GpIbα, a truncated fragment, a variant, or an encoding polynucleotide thereof;
- wherein said competitive antigen can bind to anti-platelet antibody.
