Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition, in particular cosmetic, comprising water and: i) at least one (C1-C6)(alkyl)vanillin, one of the organic or mineral basic salts thereof, or one of the solvates thereof such as hydrates; ii) at least one sequestering agent selected from the salts of formula (I) as well as the solvates thereof such as hydrates, and ethylene diamine disuccinic acid and the salts thereof, and iii) optionally at least one additional antimicrobial, preferably selected from C2 to C6 alkanols, C2 to C10 polyols, surfactants in particular non-ionic and mixtures thereof.
Claims20
A composition comprising water and:
- i) at least one (C1-C6)(alkyl)vanillin, one of the organic or mineral basic salts thereof, or one of the solvates thereof;
- ii) at least one sequestering agent selected from the salts having the following formula (I), as well as the solvates thereof:
- [−O—C(O)—CH2]2N—CH[C(O)O−]—(CH2)2—C(O)O−, nM+ (I)
- Formula (I) wherein:
- M+, identical or different, is selected from H+, alkali metal cations, alkaline earth metal cations and ammonium ions, and
- n is an integer such that the number of M+ ensures the electroneutrality of the molecule, 4
- and ethylene diamine disuccinic acid and the salts thereof, and
- iii) optionally at least one additional antimicrobial, surfactants and mixtures thereof.
