A composition for pest control, the composition including at least one active component, at least one botanical solvent, and an antioxidant. Further, the botanical solvent comprises at least one renewable hydrocarbon.

A composition for pest control, the composition comprising:
- at least one active component selected from the group consisting essentially of prallethrin, meperfluthrin, metofluthrin, transfluthrin, dimefluthrin, natural pyrethrin extract, p-menthane-3,8-diol, and combinations thereof,
- at least one botanical solvent;
- and
- an antioxidant;
- wherein the botanical solvent comprises at least one renewable hydrocarbon.

An apparatus for pest control, the apparatus comprising:
- an electric device that comprises a wick having a first end and a second end;
- and a composition in contact with the second end of the wick, wherein the composition comprises at least one active component, at least one botanical solvent with at least one renewable hydrocarbon, and an antioxidant.
