Abstract
Compositions for corrosion inhibitions, methods of making a chemically modified, maleated unsaturated fatty acids and salts thereof corrosion inhibitor, and methods of using the same are disclosed to provide alternatives for corrosion inhibition under harsh conditions with improved performance.
Claims23
A corrosion-inhibiting composition comprising:
- chemically modified, maleated unsaturated fatty acid or salt thereof, wherein the chemical modification is an amidation of the maleated unsaturated fatty acids using a monoamine, and at least one of a solvent, synergist, additional corrosion inhibitor, asphaltene inhibitor, paraffin inhibitor, scale inhibitor, emulsion breaker, or combinations thereof.
