Abstract
A packaging system for a medical device includes a box with a base inside the box. The base may include a removable portion, and an adhered portion that is secured to a bottom of the box. The adhered portion may include a wheel guide to align a cabinet onto which an object, such as a medical device, is to be unloaded from the adhered portion of the base. In one example, the packaging system may include a box and a base arranged inside the box. The base may include a removable portion and an adhered portion that is secured to a bottom of the box, the adhered portion comprising a wheel guide to align a cabinet onto which the medical device is unloaded from the adhered portion of the base.
Claims20
A packaging system for a medical device comprising:
- a box;
- and
- a base arranged inside the box, the base comprising:
- a removable portion;
- and
- an adhered portion that is secured to a bottom of the box, the adhered portion comprising a wheel guide to align a cabinet onto which the medical device is unloaded from the adhered portion of the base.
A method comprising:
- providing a box holding a medical device resting on a base in the box;
- unfolding a sidewall of the box to create a platform to roll a cabinet with casters towards the base;
- exposing a wheel guide of the base by separating a removable portion of the base;
- aligning the cabinet with casters with the medical device by rolling the cabinet over the platform and passing a caster of the cabinet into the wheel guide;
- and
- sliding the medical device from the base onto the cabinet with casters.
