Abstract
A thermoelectric element includes a first substrate, a first insulating layer disposed on the first substrate, a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer, a first electrode disposed on the second insulating layer, and a semiconductor structure disposed on the first electrode, wherein the first insulating layer includes an uneven portion, a partial region of the first electrode is buried in the second insulating layer, the second insulating layer includes a concave portion which is concave in a direction toward the first insulating layer from a side surface of the first electrode, and the concave portion vertically overlaps the uneven portion.
Claims13
A thermoelectric element comprising:
- a first substrate;
- a first insulating layer disposed on the first substrate;
- a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer;
- a first electrode disposed on the second insulating layer;
- a semiconductor structure disposed on the first electrode;
- a second electrode disposed on the semiconductor structure;
- and
- a second substrate disposed on the second electrode,
- wherein the second insulating layer includes a first region where the first electrode is disposed and a second region wherein the first electrode is not disposed, and
- wherein a minimum thickness in a direction from the first substrate toward the second substrate of the second region is greater than a maximum thickness of the first insulating layer.
A thermoelectric element comprising:
- a first substrate;
- a first insulating layer disposed on the first substrate;
- a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer;
- a first electrode disposed on the second insulating layer;
- a semiconductor structure disposed on the first electrode;
- a second electrode disposed on the semiconductor structure;
- and
- a second substrate disposed on the second electrode,
- wherein the second insulating layer includes a first region where the first electrode is disposed and a second region wherein the first electrode is not disposed, and
- wherein a minimum thickness in a direction from the first substrate toward the second substrate of the second region is greater than a maximum thickness of the first region.
