Abstract
Disclosed is a display panel including a barrier wall defining a barrier wall opening and an inspection opening, and including a first barrier wall layer, and a second barrier wall layer above the first barrier wall layer, and an inspection pattern in the inspection opening, and including a same material as the first barrier wall layer, wherein the barrier wall opening includes a first region defined by an inner surface of the first barrier wall layer, and a second region defined by an inner surface of the second barrier wall layer, and having a smaller width than a width of the first region.
Claims20
A display panel comprising:
- a barrier wall defining a barrier wall opening and an inspection opening, and comprising a first barrier wall layer, and a second barrier wall layer above the first barrier wall layer;
- and
- an inspection pattern in the inspection opening, and comprising a same material as the first barrier wall layer,
- wherein the barrier wall opening comprises:
- a first region defined by an inner surface of the first barrier wall layer;
- and
- a second region defined by an inner surface of the second barrier wall layer, and having a smaller width than a width of the first region.
A method for manufacturing a display panel, the method comprising:
- forming a preliminary barrier wall comprising a first preliminary barrier wall layer, and a second preliminary barrier wall layer above the first preliminary barrier wall layer;
- firstly etching the preliminary barrier wall to form initial inspection patterns;
- and
- secondly etching the preliminary barrier wall to form a barrier wall comprising a first barrier wall layer, and a second barrier wall layer above the first barrier wall layer, and to form an inspection pattern from the initial inspection patterns, the inspection pattern comprising a same material as the first barrier wall layer.
A method for manufacturing a display panel, the method comprising:
- forming initial measurement patterns comprising a first initial measurement layer, and a second initial measurement layer above the first initial measurement layer;
- forming a measurement pattern from the initial measurement patterns by allowing the first initial measurement layer of one initial measurement pattern among the initial measurement patterns to remain, and by removing the second initial measurement layer of the one initial measurement pattern;
- predicting a length of a tip portion through the measurement pattern;
- and
- forming a barrier wall having the tip portion defined therein, and comprising a first barrier wall layer comprising a same material as the first initial measurement layer, and a second barrier wall layer above the first barrier wall layer and comprising a same material as the second initial measurement layer.
