Abstract
Images of the plurality of document pages are scanned to generate image data with one scanning instruction. A single folder named with a received character string is determined as a storage destination of image data corresponding to the plurality of document pages generated with the scanning instruction.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium for storing a computer program for causing a computer of an information processing apparatus to execute a control method, the control method comprising:
- receiving specification of an area;
- performing recognition processing to obtain a character from the area of an image indicated by image data generated by reading a document sheet;
- and
- performing storing processing for storing the image data generated by reading the document sheet in a folder based on the character obtained by performing the recognition processing to the image indicated by the image data generated by reading the document sheet.
A control method for an information processing apparatus, the control method comprising:
- receiving specification of an area;
- performing recognition processing to obtain a character from the area of an image indicated by image data generated by reading a document sheet;
- and
- performing storing processing for storing the image data generated by reading the document sheet in a folder based on the character obtained by performing the recognition processing to the image indicated by the image data generated by reading the document sheet.
An information processing apparatus, comprising:
- a memory that stores instructions;
- and
- a controller that causes, by executing the instructions, the information processing apparatus to
- receive specification of an area;
- perform recognition processing to obtain a character from the area of an image indicated by image data generated by reading a document sheet;
- and
- perform storing processing for storing the image data generated by reading the document sheet in a folder based on the character obtained by performing the recognition processing to the image indicated by the image data generated by reading the document sheet.
