Abstract

A cylindrical battery cell includes: a housing, an electrode assembly, a current collecting component, an end cap and a cover plate. The housing includes an end wall and a side wall surrounding the end wall. An opening is formed on one side of the side wall facing away from the end wall. A first tab is disposed on one side of the electrode assembly facing the opening. The current collecting component is welded with the first tab. The end cap is disposed on one side adjacent to the opening, and is welded with the side wall to seal the opening. In the thickness direction of the end cap, the end cap includes a recessed portion that is recessed toward the electrode assembly, and the recessed portion is welded with the current collecting component. The cover plate is disposed above the recessed portion to cover the recessed portion.

Dependent claims

A cylindrical battery cell comprising:

a housing comprising an end wall and a side wall surrounding the end wall, wherein an opening is formed on one side of the side wall facing away from the end wall;
an electrode assembly disposed in the housing, wherein a first tab is disposed on one side of the electrode assembly facing the opening;
a current collecting component disposed on one side of the electrode assembly facing the opening, wherein the current collecting component is welded with the first tab;
an end cap disposed on one side adjacent to the opening, and welded with the side wall to seal the opening;
wherein in a thickness direction of the end cap, the end cap comprises a cover body and a recessed portion that is recessed toward the electrode assembly, and the recessed portion is welded with the current collecting component;
and
a cover plate disposed above the recessed portion to cover the recessed portion.
