Abstract
Borylated Amino Acid (“BAA”) compositions and methods of making BAAs are disclosed herein. Consequently, the BAAs can be administered to patients as a Neutron Capture Agent and provide a method of treating cancer, immunological disorders and other disease by utilizing a Neutron Capture Therapy modality.
Claims10
1) A method of performing boron neutron capture therapy for the treatment of cancer comprising:
- (i) administering to a patient a Dosage Unit Form comprising a composition having a chemical structure as follows:
- wherein the Dosage Unit Form is accumulated into the cell by the LAT-1 amino acid transporter;
- and
- (ii) irradiating the cell with neutrons.

6) A method of performing proton boron fusion therapy for the treatment of cancer comprising:
- (iii) administering to a patient a Dosage Unit Form comprising a composition having a chemical structure as follows:
- wherein the Dosage Unit Form is accumulated into the cell by the LAT-1 amino acid transporter;
- and
- (iv) irradiating the cell with neutrons.
