Abstract
The invention provides systems and methods for mounting a fuel system to a vehicle. In some embodiments, the invention provides systems and methods for mounting a fuel system comprising a fuel tank to a vehicle chassis using a bracket, which may be a multi-part bracket, and may be referred to as a “drop and go” bracket.

A fuel system comprising:
- a chassis bracket configured to be attached to a vehicle frame rail, the chassis bracket comprising:
- a top end,
- a bottom end,
- a first surface that is configured to contact the vehicle frame rail along an outward face of the vehicle frame rail, and
- a second surface that is substantially perpendicular to the first surface, the second surface including a vertically-oriented groove, the second surface having a distal end extending in a direction away from the first surface, and a proximal end of the second surface, the distal end and the proximal end having a similar height when the chassis bracket is attached to the vehicle frame rail;
- and
- a fuel system bracket configured to be coupled with a fuel tank to mount the fuel tank to a vehicle chassis,
- wherein the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are configured to be coupled via a pin that is received by the chassis bracket in the vertically-oriented groove of the chassis bracket, such that the pin is at a height proximal to the top end of the chassis bracket when the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are coupled,
- wherein the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket are configured to receive one or more connectors to maintain a relative positioning of the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket after initial coupling of the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket via the pin, and
- wherein the second surface of the chassis bracket is substantially aligned with a top surface of the fuel system bracket when the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are coupled.

A fuel system comprising:
- a chassis bracket configured to be attached to a vehicle frame rail, the chassis bracket comprising:
- a top end,
- a bottom end,
- a first surface along a first plane that is configured to contact the vehicle frame rail along an outward face of the vehicle frame rail, and
- a second surface along a second plane that is substantially perpendicular to the first plane, the second surface including an upwardly-facing groove;
- and
- a fuel system bracket configured to be coupled with a fuel tank to mount the fuel tank to a vehicle chassis, the fuel system bracket having a top surface along a third plane,
- wherein the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are configured to be coupled via a pin that is received by the chassis bracket in the upwardly-facing groove of the chassis bracket, such that the pin is at a height proximal to the top end of the chassis bracket when the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are coupled,
- wherein the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket are configured to receive one or more connectors to maintain a relative positioning of the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket after initial coupling of the chassis bracket and the fuel system bracket via the pin, and
- wherein the second plane is substantially parallel to the third plane when the fuel system bracket and the chassis bracket are coupled.
