Abstract
The present disclosure provides packet transmission, which relates to the field of communication technology. The solution of the present disclosure comprises: receiving a first packet from an upstream network device in a first network, caching the first packet into a scheduling queue of a deterministic flow to which the first packet belongs, and sending the packet in the scheduling queue to a downstream network device in a second network according to a scheduling cycle of the scheduling queue. It can realize end-to-end deterministic transmission across different deterministic networks.
Claims17
A method for packet transmission, wherein the method is applied to a gateway and comprises:
- receiving a first packet from an upstream network device in a first network;
- caching the first packet into a scheduling queue of a deterministic flow to which the first packet belongs;
- sending the packet in the scheduling queue to a downstream network device in a second network according to a scheduling cycle of the scheduling queue.
An apparatus for packet transmission, wherein the apparatus is applied to a gateway and comprises:
- a receiving module, to receive a first packet from an upstream network device in a first network;
- a caching module, to cache the first packet into a scheduling queue of a deterministic flow to which the first packet belongs;
- a sending module, to send the packet in the scheduling queue to a downstream network device in a second network according to a scheduling cycle of the scheduling queue.
A gateway, wherein the gateway comprises:
- a processor;
- a transceiver;
- a machine readable storage medium, which stores machine executable instructions executable by the processor;
- wherein the machine executable instructions cause the processor to perform the following operations:
- receiving a first packet from an upstream network device in a first network through the transceiver;
- caching the first packet into a scheduling queue of a deterministic flow to which the first packet belongs;
- sending the packet in the scheduling queue to a downstream network device in a second network through the transceiver according to a scheduling cycle of the scheduling queue.
