Abstract
A beamformer circuit comprises a front end subcircuit. The front-end subcircuit comprises a phase control structure and a gain control structure. The beamformer circuit also comprises a first area in memory that is dedicated to storing settings for the phase control structure. The beamformer circuit also comprises a second area in memory that is dedicated to storing settings for the gain control structure.

A beamformer circuit comprising:
- a front-end subcircuit comprising:
- a phase control structure;
- a gain control structure;
- a first area in memory that is dedicated to storing settings for the phase control structure;
- and
- a second area in memory that is dedicated to storing settings for the gain control structure.
A method of controlling a beamformer circuit, the method comprising:
- sending, for an intended beam, a first call to a first area in memory on a front-end subcircuit;
- and
- sending, for the intended beam, a second call to a second area in memory on the front-end subcircuit;
- wherein the first area in memory is dedicated to storing settings for a phase control structure on the front-end subcircuit and wherein the second area in memory is dedicated to storing settings for a gain control structure on the front-end subcircuit.
A method of controlling a beamformer circuit, the method comprising:
- sending, for an intended beam, a first call to a first area in memory on a front-end subcircuit, wherein the first area in memory is dedicated to storing settings for a first control structure on the front-end subcircuit, and wherein the beamformer circuit comprises a second area in memory that is dedicated to storing settings for a second control structure on the front-end subcircuit.
