Abstract
According to one embodiment, provided is an active material that includes a secondary particle containing a plurality of primary particles containing a niobium-containing oxide. The secondary particle includes adjacent sections at which the primary particles are adjacent to each other and necking sections in which the primary particles are joined to each other. A total perimeter L of the primary particles and a sum Lcl of perimeters of the primary particles excluding the necking sections satisfy a relationship of 0.1<(L−Lcl)/L≤0.6.
Claims11
An active material comprising a secondary particle containing a plurality of primary particles containing a niobium-containing oxide,
- the secondary particle comprising adjacent sections at which the primary particles are adjacent to each other and necking sections in which the primary particles are joined to each other, and
- a total perimeter L of the primary particles and a sum Lcl of perimeters of the primary particles excluding the necking sections satisfying a relationship of 0.1<(L−Lcl)/L≤0.6.
A secondary battery comprising:
- a positive electrode;
- a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material;
- and
- an electrolyte,
- the negative electrode active material comprising a secondary particle containing a plurality of primary particles containing a niobium-containing oxide, the secondary particle comprising first adjacent sections at which the primary particles are adjacent to each other and second adjacent sections at which the primary particles are in contact with each other via each interface thereof, and a total perimeter L of the primary particles and a sum Lcl of perimeters of the primary particles excluding the second adjacent sections satisfying a relationship of 0.1<(L−Lcl)/L≤0.6.
