Tracking device coupling mechanism

A tracking device coupling mechanism comprising:

• a body at least partially defining a cavity configured to receive and retain a tracking device;
• an attachment mechanism connected to the body, the attachment mechanism having:
• a first arm configured to slide inward towards a centerline of the body from a first side,
• a second arm configured to oppose the first arm and slide inward towards the centerline of the body from a second side, and
• a tamperproof screw removably connecting the first arm to the second arm such that rotation of the tamperproof screw adjusts a distance between the first arm and the second arm;
• wherein at least a portion of an item to be tracked is configured to be retained between the first arm and the second arm, and
• wherein, when the attachment mechanism retains the body in an engaged state, the tracking device coupling mechanism is immobilized with respect to the item to be tracked.
