Abstract
A computer system displays one or more portions of a representation of a user with different appearances based on whether the computer system receives information that the one or more portions of the representation are positioned with predefined regions of a physical environment in which the user is located.

A computer system that is in communication with a display generation component and in communication with an external computer system that is associated with a first user, the computer system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
- in response to receiving a request to display a representation of the first user in an extended reality environment:
- displaying in the extended reality environment, via the display generation component, the representation of the first user, wherein displaying the representation of the first user includes:
- in accordance with a determination that a first portion of a body of the first user is in a first region of a physical environment in which the first user is located, wherein the first region is defined relative to the body of the first user, displaying, via the display generation component, a first visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user, wherein the first visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user includes a first amount of visual fidelity;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the first portion of the body of the first user is in a second region of the physical environment, wherein the second region is separate from the first region, displaying, via the display generation component, a second visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user, wherein the second visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user includes a second amount of visual fidelity, different from the first amount of visual fidelity.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of a computer system that is in communication with a display generation component and in communication with an external computer system that is associated with a first user, the one or more programs including instructions for:
- in response to receiving a request to display a representation of the first user in an extended reality environment:
- displaying in the extended reality environment, via the display generation component, the representation of the first user, wherein displaying the representation of the first user includes:
- in accordance with a determination that a first portion of a body of the first user is in a first region of a physical environment in which the first user is located, wherein the first region is defined relative to the body of the first user, displaying, via the display generation component, a first visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user, wherein the first visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user includes a first amount of visual fidelity;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the first portion of the body of the first user is in a second region of the physical environment, wherein the second region is separate from the first region, displaying, via the display generation component, a second visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user, wherein the second visual indication of the first portion of the body of the first user includes a second amount of visual fidelity, different from the first amount of visual fidelity.
