Abstract
Various embodiments relate to a method, apparatus, and non-transitory media, including one or more of the following: displaying, on a screen of a mobile device having a camera, a real-time image from the camera; displaying, on the screen, feedback indicating positioning of a second device captured in the real-time image; determining that the positioning of the mobile device relative to the second device is sufficient to trigger an action on the second device; and triggering the action on the second device using the mobile device.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- displaying, on a screen of a mobile device having a camera, a real-time image from the camera;
- displaying, on the screen, feedback indicating positioning of a second device captured in the real-time image;
- determining that the positioning of the mobile device relative to the second device is sufficient to trigger an action on the second device;
- and
- triggering the action on the second device using the mobile device.
A mobile device comprising:
- a camera;
- a memory;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- display, on a screen of a mobile device having a camera, a real-time image from the camera,
- display on the screen, feedback indicating positioning of a second device captured in the real-time image,
- determine that the positioning of the mobile device relative to the second device is sufficient to trigger an action on the second device, and
- responsive to determining that the positioning is sufficient to trigger an action on the second device, trigger the action on the second device using a signal from the mobile device.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium encoded with instructions for execution by a processor for causing a device to trigger an action on a second device, the non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising:
- instructions for displaying, on a screen of a mobile device having a camera, a real-time image from the camera;
- instructions for displaying, on the screen, feedback indicating positioning of a second device captured in the real-time image;
- instructions for determining that the positioning of the mobile device relative to the second device is sufficient to trigger an action on the second device;
- and
- instructions for triggering the action on the second device using the mobile device.
