Indexing actions for resources

A system comprising:

• an electronic processor;
• and
• a memory communicably coupled to the electronic processor and storing instructions that, when executed by the electronic processor, cause the system to:
• determine, based on a query, an action type representing an action that can be performed by a device processing a resource responsive to the query;
• determine a candidate resource responsive to the query that includes action data associating the candidate resource with the action;
• determine, based on the action data, a ranking for the candidate resource in a plurality of candidate resources, wherein the action data provides a boost within the ranking;
• and
• provide, as a response to the query, data for the plurality of candidate resources according to the ranking.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that when executed by an electronic processor, cause the electronic processor to:

• determine, based on a query, an action type representing an action that can be performed by a device processing a resource responsive to the query;
• determine a candidate resource responsive to the query that includes action data associating the candidate resource with the action;
• determine, based on the action data, a ranking for the candidate resource in a plurality of candidate resources, wherein the action data provides a boost within the ranking;
• and
• provide, as a response to the query, data for the plurality of candidate resources according to the ranking.
