Abstract
Disclosed is an upgrade system for home appliances with which a user can upgrade a home appliance at a desired time, and a method for same. The upgrade system for home appliances comprises: a server which registers software of a home appliance; and a home appliance which downloads the software from the server and stores same, and carries out an upgrade, when an upgrade trigger occurs, in accordance with the operating state of the home appliance.

An upgrade method for a home appliance, comprising:
- setting upgrade reservation time;
- and
- proceeding with an upgrade by writing new software registered with a server to a control unit of a home appliance at the reservation time.
An upgrade system for a home appliance, comprising:
- a server configured to register new software of a home appliance;
- and
- a home appliance configured to set upgrade reservation time and write new software registered with the server to a control unit of a home appliance at the reservation time, to proceed with an upgrade.
An upgrade system for a home appliance, comprising:
- a server configured to register software of a home appliance;
- and
- a home appliance configured to download the software from the server and store the software, and in a case where a trigger of an upgrade occurs, to proceed with an upgrade depending on an operation state of a home appliance.
An upgrade method for a home appliance, comprising:
- downloading software from a server and storing the software;
- and
- proceeding with an upgrade of the software depending on an operation state of a home appliance at a time when a trigger of an upgrade occurs.
