A door assembly comprising:
- a frame including a strike member, the strike member including a first coating having a first material;
- and
- a door hingedly coupled to the frame, the door including a latch member operable to engage with the strike member to secure the door in a closed position, the latch member including a second coating having a second material, the second material being different than the first material.
A latch assembly for a door comprising:
- a strike member including a first coating having a first material;
- and
- a latch bolt including a second coating having a second material, the second material being different than the first material.
