Abstract
A detergent composition includes a detersive surfactant and a graft polymer.
Claims16
A detergent composition comprising a detersive surfactant and a graft polymer comprising:
- (A) about 20 to about 95 wt % by weight of the polymer, of a polymer backbone as a graft base via polymerization of ethylene oxide, wherein the number average molecular weight of the polymer backbone in g/mol is within about 500 to about 5000;
- and
- (B) polymeric sidechains grafted onto the polymer backbone via polymerization of at least one vinyl ester monomer and optionally at least one other monomer, wherein—if present—the weight ratio of the at least one other monomer to the at least one vinyl ester monomer is less than about 0.5, wherein the graft polymer has value P=[molecular weight of the polymer backbone Mn in g/mol]×[percentage of amount of polymeric sidechains based on total polymer weight, with polymer weight being set to “1” and the percentage of amount of polymeric sidechains as fraction thereof] of about 50 to about 1500.
