Abstract
A film having at least one layer, and the layer includes a multimodal high density polyethylene having: a melt index (I2) that is from 0.8 g/10 min to 5.0 g/10 min; a density that is from 0.950 g/cc to 0.965 g/cc; a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) that is from 10 to 20; and a molecular weight (Mz) that is from 500,000 g/mol to 1,000,000 g/mol. The film is a biaxially oriented polyethylene film.
Claims16
A film comprising at least one layer, the at least one layer comprising:
- a multimodal high density polyethylene comprising:
- a melt index (I2) that is from 0.8 g/10 min to 5.0 g/10 min;
- a density that is from 0.950 g/cc to 0.965 g/cc;
- a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) that is from 10 to 20;
- and
- a molecular weight (Mz) that is from 500,000 g/mol to 1,000,000 g/mol,
- wherein the film is a biaxially oriented polyethylene film;
- and
- the film is stretched in the machine direction at a stretching ratio of 5 to 6 times the original length and in the transverse direction at a stretching ratio of 6 to 8 times the original width.
