Abstract
The subject invention pertains to a novel poly(diallyldimethylammonium) fluoride (PDDAF) compound that provides a restorative material to arrest dental caries, remineralize carious lesions, and inhibit bacterial growth.

A compound of formula (I), wherein the compound is poly(diallyldimethylammonium) fluoride (PDDAF):
- wherein n is about 50 to about 10000.
A method of treating dental caries, carious lesions, or a combination thereof in a subject, the method comprising:
- providing a composition comprising a compound of formula (I), wherein the compound is poly(diallyldimethylammonium) fluoride (PDDAF):
- wherein n is about 50 to about 10000;
- and
- applying the composition orally to the subject.
