Abstract
Provided herein are methods and compositions related to treating or preventing seizures.
Claims46
A method of preventing or treating a condition responsive to a ketogenic diet in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising one or more compounds listed in Table 1.
A method of preventing or treating a condition responsive to a ketogenic diet in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising bacteria that enrich any one or more of the gene pathways listed in Table 2.
The method of any one of the preceding claims, wherein the condition is seizures, optionally wherein subject has a neurodevelopmental condition, e.g., selected from epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, Rett syndrome, attention deficit disorder, and fragile X syndrome.
A method of treating or preventing a condition responsive to a ketogenic diet in a subject, comprising
- (a) depleting the gut microbiota of the subject,
- (b) administering a composition comprising a compound listed in Table 1.
A method of treating or preventing a condition responsive to a ketogenic diet in a subject, comprising
- (a) depleting the gut microbiota of the subject,
- (b) administering a composition comprising bacteria that enrich any one of the gene pathways in Table 2.
A composition comprising any one or more of the compounds listed in Table 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
