Abstract
The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods that enable the formation of pharmaceutically relevant particles that can be used for therapy. In particular, the methods disclosed herein allow the controlled formation of circular particles having low internal void spaces comprising bioactive therapeutic agents.
Claims30
A method of producing particles comprising a therapeutic biologic, the method comprising:
- forming droplets of an aqueous first liquid, wherein the first liquid comprises a therapeutic biologic, and wherein the droplets are formed within a second liquid comprising an organic solvent;
- dehydrating the droplets in the second liquid to form particles comprising the therapeutic biologic.
