Abstract
A toilet seat fastener assembly includes a mounting tube with a threaded rod extending therethrough. A cam is coupled to a first end and a wedge is coupled to the rod at a second end. The wedge is adjustable along the length of the threaded rod. Rotation of the cam induces a compressive force between an upper flange of the mounting tube and the wedge. The assembly passes through seat mounting holes in a toilet seat and toilet. The cam presses upon the upper flange when rotated so as to compress the toilet between the mounting tube and wedge. Operation is performed repeatedly and does not necessitate tools.
Claims10
A toilet seat fastener assembly, comprising:
- a threaded rod;
- a rotating cam coupled to a first end of the threaded rod;
- a wedge coupled to a second end of the threaded rod;
- and
- a mounting tube surrounding the threaded rod between the rotating cam and the wedge.
A toilet seat fastener assembly, comprising:
- a threaded rod;
- a rotating cam coupled to a first end of the threaded rod;
- a wedge coupled to a second end of the threaded rod;
- and
- a mounting tube surrounding the threaded rod between the rotating cam and the wedge, the mounting tube including an upper flange located adjacent to the first end of the rotating cam, the rotating cam is configured to rotate about the first end of the threaded rod and selectively contact the upper flange;
- wherein rotation of the rotating cam translates the threaded rod so as to bring the wedge into contact with the mounting tube.
