Coupling mechanism and seating furniture

A coupling mechanism, comprising a seat frame, a leg rest and a backrest bracket, wherein the coupling mechanism further comprises:

• a carriage slidably connected to the seat frame;
• a linkage assembly for backrest, which is connected to the backrest bracket, the seat frame and the carriage, so that the backrest bracket is coupled to the carriage, so as to move relative to the seat frame;
• a linkage mechanism for leg rest, which is connected to the carriage and the leg rest, so that the leg rest is configured to move toward or away from the carriage;
• a coupling assembly rotationally connected to the carriage, two ends of the coupling assembly are respectively articulated to the seat frame and the linkage mechanism for leg rest;
• and
• a drive assembly connected to the carriage, to drive the leg rest and the backrest bracket to move relative to the seat frame;
• wherein during operation of the drive assembly, the carriage slides relative to the seat frame, and the leg rest as well as the backrest bracket move and rotate relative to the seat frame.
