A hinge-side finger protection device for a leaf door includes a protective profile attachable to the leaf door by clamping between two door hinges or between a door hinge and a stop device. An adapter part is further present having an end face of which the position relative to the protective profile is changeable in the longitudinal direction in order to enable the protective profile to be inserted and clamped between the door hinges or between the one door hinge and the stop device. The adapter part is insertable into the protective profile. The end face of the adapter part is arranged on a side of the adapter part opposite the protective profile when the adapter part is inserted in the protective profile. The hinge-side finger protection device enables quick and easy installation on a door and can be used with a different door hinges.
A hinge-side finger protection device for a leaf door, the hinge-side finger protection device comprising:

A mounting jig for mounting a finger protection device, wherein the mounting jig comprises a base plate and a slider held displaceably in the base plate, wherein the slider has a holding means for holding a first component on a side of the slider opposite the base plate, wherein an angle profile with two stop surfaces at an angle to one another is arranged on the base plate, and wherein the slider has a marking for setting a hinge diameter, so that when the stop surfaces bear against a door hinge with the set hinge diameter, the first component is positionable at a suitable point relative to the door hinge.
