Abstract
A laundry treating apparatus includes a duct system including an air discharge duct for discharging air inside the drum to an outside of the drum, an air supply duct for supplying air to the drum, and a connection duct for connecting the air discharge duct and the air supply duct to each other. The apparatus also includes a heat-absorber disposed inside the connection duct to remove moisture from air, and a heat-emitter disposed inside the connection duct to heat air passing through the heat-absorber. The apparatus further includes a water ejector disposed in the duct system and defining a water flow path for supplying water to the heat-absorber to remove foreign substances remaining on the heat-absorber.
Claims8
A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
- a cabinet;
- a drum that is located inside the cabinet and that defines a space to receive laundry;
- a heat-exchanger configured to remove moisture from air discharged from the drum and circulated through the heat-exchanger into the drum;
- a water collector disposed below the heat-exchanger and configured to store water removed from the heat-exchanger;
- a water ejector configured to supply water to the heat-exchanger to remove foreign substances remaining thereon;
- a pump fluidly connected to the water ejector through a water flow path;
- a water flow-path switch connected to a portion of the pump and the water ejector on the water flow path and configured to supply the water discharged from the pump to the water ejector to clean the heat-exchanger or a water discharge pipe to drain the water in the water collector to an outside of the cabinet;
- and
- a water flow-path controller fluidly connected to another portion of the pump and the water discharge pipe, and wherein the water flow-path controller is configured to drain a remained water in the pump through the water discharge pipe after draining the water in the water collector by the water flow-path switch.
