Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an isocyanate composition that can suppress the occurrence of discoloration and white turbidity and improve transparency when applied to a product, and a preparation method of the same.

An isocyanate composition which comprises an isocyanate-based mixture containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monomers, dimers, trimers, and oligomers having 4 to 200 repeating units of isocyanate compounds;
- phenol;
- and para-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate, and satisfies the following Equation 1:

- A is the Hazen color value (APHA) measured according to ASTM D1003, and

A method for preparing an isocyanate composition, the method comprising the steps of:
- reacting an amine compound with phosgene in a solvent to obtain an isocyanate-based mixture;
- and
- adding phenol and para-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate to the mixture,
- wherein the mixture includes at least one compound selected from the group consisting of monomers, dimers, trimers, and oligomers having 4 to 200 repeating units of isocyanate compounds, and
- wherein the isocyanate composition satisfies the following Equation 1:
