Abstract
Methods, apparatuses and computer program products for movement of rectangular prisms in a multi-dimensional space are provided.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for generating pathing data for traversing a rectangular prism through a plurality of racks comprising:
- determining rack arrangement data associated with the plurality of racks;
- dividing the rack arrangement data into a plurality of segments, wherein each of the plurality of segments is associated with at least one rack of the plurality of racks;
- selecting a first segment of the plurality of segments;
- determining a starting position and an ending position of the first segment;
- and
- generating the pathing data from the starting position of the first segment to the ending position of the first segment.
An apparatus for generating pathing data for traversing a rectangular prism through a plurality of racks, the apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one non-transitory memory comprising program code, the at least one non-transitory memory and the program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to at least:
- determine rack arrangement data associated with the plurality of racks;
- divide the rack arrangement data into a plurality of segments, wherein each of the plurality of segments is associated with at least one rack of the plurality of racks;
- select a first segment of the plurality of segments;
- determine a starting position and an ending position of the first segment;
- and
- generate the pathing data from the starting position of the first segment to the ending position of the first segment.
A computer program product for generating pathing data for traversing a rectangular prism through a plurality of racks, the computer program product comprising at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer-readable program code portions stored therein, the computer-readable program code portions comprising an executable portion configured to:
- determine rack arrangement data associated with the plurality of racks;
- divide the rack arrangement data into a plurality of segments, wherein each of the plurality of segments is associated with at least one rack of the plurality of racks;
- select a first segment of the plurality of segments;
- determine a starting position and an ending position of the first segment;
- and
- generate the pathing data from the starting position of the first segment to the ending position of the first segment.
