Abstract

A defibrillator housing is provided. The housing includes a circuit enclosure having a bottom surface surrounded by four walls forming a cavity to house an energy storage circuit. An electrode enclosure is fused on top of the circuit enclosure and includes a bottom surface surrounded by four walls forming a cavity to house electrode pads. The walls of the electrode enclosure are positioned above the walls of the circuit enclosure. A feedthrough mechanism is formed as an opening in the bottom surface of the electrode enclosure though which the electrode pads access the energy storage circuit. A user interface is provided in the cavity of the electrode enclosure and a cover having a substantially flat surface is positioned over the electrode enclosure and moveable to allow access to the electrode pads and user interface in the electrode enclosure.

Dependent claims

A defibrillator housing, comprising:

a circuit enclosure comprising a bottom surface surrounded by four walls forming a cavity to house an energy storage circuit;
an electrode enclosure comprising a bottom surface surrounded by four walls forming a cavity to house electrode pads and fused on top of the circuit enclosure, wherein the walls of the electrode enclosure are positioned above the walls of the circuit enclosure;
a feedthrough mechanism formed as an opening in the bottom surface of the electrode enclosure though which the electrode pads access the energy storage circuit;
a user interface provided in the cavity of the electrode enclosure;
and
a cover comprising a substantially flat surface positioned over the electrode enclosure and moveable to allow access to the electrode pads and user interface in the electrode enclosure.
