A Zika virus vaccine comprising a Zika virus having an RNA genome corresponding to the DNA sequence provided by any one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 2-13 or 72 or a variant nucleic acid having at least 99% identity to any one of SEQ ID NOs:
- 2-13 or 72 and able to pack a virulent Zika virus, wherein the sequence identity is determined by Needleman-Wunsch homology alignment.
