Abstract
Anti-fungal compositions based on the griffithsin protein and methods of using the same have been identified. The compositions display antifungal activity against species of Candida fungus.
Claims23
A method for preventing or treating fungal infections, comprising applying a composition including griffithsin protein to a subject.
An antifungal composition comprising a griffithsin protein and a carrier, wherein the griffithsin protein is present at a concentration effective to reduce fungal infection.
