Abstract
This document provides methods and materials for treating multiple system atrophy. For example, methods and materials for using autologous mesenchymal stem cells (e.g., adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells) to treat multiple system atrophy are provided.
Claims4
A method of treating a human having multiple system atrophy, wherein said method comprises intrathecally administering, to said human, a composition comprising from 5×106 to 5×108 autologous mesenchymal stem cells, wherein the rate of progression of said multiple system atrophy is reduced following said administering step.
