A heat treatment furnace for a dental object, comprising:
- an electronic camera for generating an image data set of the dental object within a firing chamber;
- and
- an evaluation device for determining a height and/or geometric dimension of the dental object based on the image data set.
A method for determining a height of a dental object in a heat treatment furnace, comprising
- generating an image data set of the dental object within a firing chamber with an electronic camera;
- and
- determining a height and/or geometric dimension of the dental object on the basis of the image data set.
