Abstract
A system and method of delivering and detaching an implant within a body of a patient is described. A tether connects an implant with a delivery device. The delivery device includes a heater through which the tether passes. The inner lumen of the delivery system pusher may accommodate the lead wires which connect to the heater.
Claims21
(canceled)
An endovascular heat delivery system, comprising:
- a plurality of coil sections having a plurality of coil diameters, wherein the plurality of coil section comprise:
- a first coil section having a first coil diameter;
- and
- a second coil section having a second coil diameter greater than the first coil diameter;
- a first wire connected to a distal region of the first coil section;
- and
- a second wire connected to a proximal region of the first coil section, wherein the first and second wires are electrically connected to a power source, wherein the first and second wires are positioned radially within the second coil section, and wherein the first wire is positioned radially outside of the first coil section.

An endovascular heat delivery system, comprising:
- a coil having a first region with a first coil diameter and a second region with a second coil diameter,
- wherein the first region is integral with the second region, and
- wherein the first coil diameter is different from the second coil diameter;
- a first wire electrically connected to the first region;
- a second wire electrically connected to the second region;
- and
- a power source electrically connected to the first and second wires, where in a heating configuration, electricity delivered from the power source heats at least a portion of the first region of the coil.
4 more elements
An endovascular heat delivery system, comprising:
- a means for heating having a first diameter;
- a means for providing structural support having a second diameter greater than the first diameter;
- and
- a means for electrical communication comprising:
- a first wire connected to a proximal region of the means for heating;
- and
- a second wire connected to a distal region of the means for heating, wherein the first and second wires are electrically connected to a means for providing power source, wherein the first and second wires are positioned radially within a lumen of the means for providing structural support, and wherein the first wire is positioned radially outside of the means for heating.
