Sous vide appliance

A sous vide appliance including:

• an inner tube having a longitudinal opposite first and second ends, and providing a fluid flow path having an inlet adjacent the first end, and an outlet adjacent the second end;
• an outer tube, the inner tube being located within the outer tube;
• a heating element mounted adjacent the inner tube to heat liquid passing along the flow path from the inlet to the outlet;
• an outer housing within which the outer tube is located;
• a switch mounted on the inner tube and operatively associated with the heating element to provide for the delivery of electric power to the heating element;
• and
• a thermal insulating member located between the switch and the inner tube to at least assist in thermally isolating the switch from the inner tube and therefore the heating element.

A sous vide appliance including:

• an outer tube having longitudinal opposite first and second ends, and providing a liquid flow path having an inlet adjacent a tube first end and an outlet adjacent a tube second end;
• an inner tube located within the outer tube but spaced therefrom;
• a heating element mounted adjacent the outer tube to heat liquid passing along the flow path from the inlet to the outlet;
• an outer housing within which the outer tube is located;
• a motor mounting;
• a switch operable to deliver electric power to the heating element and located adjacent the motor mounting so as to be separated from the fluid flow path.
