Abstract

A bed frame that is configured to tiltably move the mattress and maintain the mattress in a tilted orientation. The invention includes a first frame wherein the first frame includes opposing lateral wall members and opposing end walls forming a shape of the first frame. The first frame includes a support bar and pivot bar member extending thereacross. The invention includes a second frame wherein the second frame is disposed within the first frame being mateably shaped therewith. The second frame is tiltably moveable with respect to the first frame and further includes at least one support member that is configured to maintain a desired orientation angle of the second frame ensuing movement thereto. The at least one support member is operable to engage the support bar of the first frame. The first frame includes leg members providing elevation above the floor on which the bed frame is superposed.

Dependent claims

A bed frame that is configured to provide movement of a mattress thereon wherein the bed frame is operable to tilt the mattress wherein the bed frame comprises:

a first frame, said first frame having a plurality of wall members wherein the plurality of wall members are operably coupled forming a void of the first frame, said first frame having a first end and a second end, said first frame having a support bar, said support bar being proximate said first end, said support bar extending across the void of the first frame;
a second frame, said second frame having a plurality of wall members operably coupled forming a void, said second frame having a first end and a second end, said second frame being mateably shaped with said first frame, said second frame being disposed within the void of said first frame, said second frame being movable with respect to said first frame, said void of said second frame configured to have a mattress disposed therein, said second frame further including at least one support bar, said at least one support member being hingedly coupled to said second frame, said at least one support member configured to be operably coupled to said support bar so as to maintain the second frame in a tilted orientation with respect to said first frame.
