Abstract
A system and method for chatbot and search engine integration comprising traversing a conversational flow of a chatbot, generating a data structure based on the conversational flow, embedding the data structure in a webpage, and directing a search engine to the webpage for the search engine to assign a webpage rank to the data structure. In some embodiments, this integration may allow search engine users to be redirected to a non-public website hosting the chatbot when that chatbot would not otherwise be identified by the search engine.
Claims20
A system for integrating a chatbot with a search engine, comprising:
- a networked computing system comprised of one or more computing devices, and one or more memories and one or more processors;
- a plurality of programming instructions stored in one or more of the memories which, when operating on the one or more processors, causes the networked computing system to:
- connect to a chatbot and traverse a conversation flow, detecting one or more conversation paths;
- generate a data structure of the conversation flow and its one or more conversation paths, the data structure being traversable by a search engine;
- embed the data structure in a webpage;
- and
- direct a search engine to the webpage for the search engine to assign a webpage rank to the data structure.
A method for integrating a chatbot with a search engine, comprising the steps of:
- using a networked computing system comprised of one or more computing devices, and one or more memories and one or more processors to perform the steps of:
- connecting to a chatbot and traversing a conversation flow, detecting one or more conversation paths;
- generating a data structure of the conversation flow and its one or more conversation paths, the data structure being traversable by a search engine;
- embedding the data structure in a webpage;
- and
- directing a search engine to the webpage for the search engine to assign a webpage rank to the data structure.
