A bicycle operating device includes a base member and a nut. The base member is configured to be coupled to a handlebar clamp. The first attachment surface is to be attached to an outer surface of the handlebar clamp. The nut insertion hole opens in the first attachment surface and the second attachment surface. The elongated hole is provided for adjusting a position of the base member with respect to the handlebar clamp. The nut is to be received in the nut insertion hole. The handlebar clamp is provided between the coupling portion and the nut when the bicycle operating device is coupled to the handlebar clamp.
