Apparatus for conducting a biochemical assay

An apparatus for conducting a biochemical assay on a sample, the apparatus comprising

• a housing enclosing a reaction chamber;
• a rotation generating member configured to support a rotatable cylindrical body such that at least part of the rotatable cylindrical body can be arranged within the reaction chamber, wherein the rotatable cylindrical body is configured to hold at least one sample at an outer lateral surface thereof;
• a humidifier configured to humidify an atmosphere in said reaction chamber;
• wherein the rotation generating member is further configured to rotate the rotatable cylindrical body around a longitudinal central axis (A) of the rotatable cylindrical body while at least a part of the biochemical assay is performed,
• wherein the apparatus comprises a sample holder, and
• wherein the sample holder comprises the rotatable cylindrical body.
