Abstract
A device for mechanical maintenance of a lawn with a view to limiting the growth of weeds, has at least one tool including a plate defining a main plane and carrying a plurality of rods. The rods extend in a direction perpendicular to the main plane. The free ends of the rods are intended to rest on the lawn. The tool includes a drive mechanism associated with the plate that is configured to rotate the assembly formed by the plate and the rods about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the main plane.

A device for mechanical maintenance of a lawn and limiting growth of weeds, the device including at least one tool comprising:
- a plate defining a main plane and carrying a plurality of rods, the rods having sections with rounded shapes, the rods extending in a direction perpendicular to the main plane, free ends of the rods configured to be flush with the lawn, and
- a drive mechanism associated with the plate and configured to rotate the assembly formed by the plate and the rods along an axis of rotation perpendicular to the main plane.

A method for treating a lawn to limit growth of weeds, the method comprising:
- providing a device including a tool including:
- a plate defining a main plane and carrying a plurality of rods, the rods having sections with rounded shapes, the rods extending in a direction perpendicular to the main plane, free ends of the rods configured to be flush with the lawn, and
- a drive mechanism associated with the plate and configured to rotate the assembly formed by the plate and the rods along an axis of rotation perpendicular to the main plane;
- positioning the tool in a working position wherein the free ends of the rods are flush with the ground;
- and
- activating the drive mechanism and rotating the plate and the rods.
