Abstract
A knife sharpening device has a holder that has a slot for receiving a blade of a circular knife. At least one sharpening rod is pivotally mounted on the holder against the force of a spring. At least one first sharpening insert is arranged on the sharpening rod. The slot extends eccentrically into the holder transversely to a longitudinal axis of the holder. At least one additional sharpening insert is positioned on an outer side of the holder.

A knife sharpening device comprising:
- a holder (32), the holder has:
- a slot (12) for receiving a blade (2) of a circular knife, and
- at least one sharpening rod (15), the at least one sharpening rod (15) is pivotally mounted on the holder (32) against the force of a spring (22), wherein:
- at least one first sharpening insert (17) is arranged on the sharpening rod (15), and
- the slot (12) extends eccentrically into the holder (32) transversely to a longitudinal axis (9) of the holder (32), and at least one additional sharpening insert (27) is positioned on an outer side of the holder (32).
