Abstract
A method, apparatus, and computer program for controlling allocation of control message fields in uplink transmission in a cellular telecommunication system are presented. Uplink control message fields are allocated to the resources of a physical uplink shared traffic channel according to an uplink transmission scheme selected for a user terminal. The control message fields are allocated so that transmission performance of the control messages is optimized for the selected uplink transmission scheme.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining a first number of coded symbols to be allocated to a first control message field in a physical uplink shared traffic channel (PUSCH) based on a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) offset;
- and
- transmitting the first control message field based on the first number of coded symbols.
A user terminal comprising:
- a processor configured to determine a first number of coded symbols to be allocated to a first control message field in a physical uplink shared traffic channel (PUSCH) based on a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) offset;
- and
- a transmitter configured to transmit the first control message field based on the first number of coded symbols.
