A method of making a dehydrated composition comprising dehydrated decidua tissue, the method comprising:
- (a) providing dehydrated decidua tissue;
- (b) providing an aqueous based pharmaceutically acceptable carrier;
- (c) combining (a) and (b) and mixing until uniform;
- and
- (d) dehydrating the resultant mixture, thereby forming the dehydrated composition;
- wherein the aqueous based carrier has a water content of at least 50% w/w, wherein the dehydrated composition is a film or sheet, and wherein the film or sheet has a water content of less than 5% w/w or less than 3% w/w.
