A device for applying thermal therapy to a perineal area of a patient, comprising:
- an absorbent core having a void;
- a thermal pouch at least partially within the void;
- and
- a backing layer,
- wherein the device provides at least about 90% fluid containment in a fluid containment test, wherein the fluid containment test comprises providing a flow of a fluid at a flow rate of about 10 mL/second using a separatory funnel filled with 50 mL of the fluid and measuring an amount of the fluid contained by the device.
