Abstract
A bed skirt assembly for enhancing the ornamental appeal of a bed includes a box spring of a bed and a fitted sheet that is positionable around the box spring. A skirt is attached to the fitted sheet such that the skirt hangs downwardly when the fitted sheet is positioned around the box spring. The skirt is formed into a plurality of ruffles to enhance the ornamental appeal of the box spring when the fitted sheet is positioned around the box spring.
Claims6
A bed skirt assembly having an integral ruffled skirt for positioning over a box spring of a bed, said assembly comprising:
- a box spring of a bed;
- a fitted sheet being positionable around said box spring;
- and
- a skirt being attached to said fitted sheet such that said skirt hangs downwardly when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring, said skirt being formed into a plurality of ruffles wherein said skirt is configured to enhance the ornamental appeal of said box spring when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring.
A bed skirt assembly having an integral ruffled skirt for positioning over a box spring of a bed, said assembly comprising:
- a box spring of a bed;
- a fitted sheet being positionable around said box spring, said fitted sheet having an upper panel and a perimeter panel extending downwardly from said upper panel, said perimeter panel having a distal edge with respect to said upper panel, said upper panel lying on a top of said box spring having said perimeter panel surrounding said box spring when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring, said perimeter panel having a front side, a back side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side;
- an elastomeric band being attached to said distal edge of said perimeter panel of said fitted sheet, said elastomeric band biasing said distal edge to close upon itself thereby facilitating said perimeter panel of said fitted sheet to wrap around a bottom of said box spring for retaining said fitted sheet on said box spring;
- and
- a skirt being attached to said fitted sheet such that said skirt hangs downwardly when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring, said skirt being formed into a plurality of ruffles wherein said skirt is configured to enhance the ornamental appeal of said box spring when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring, said skirt having an upper edge and a lower edge, said upper edge of said skirt being attached to an intersection between said upper panel and said perimeter panel of said fitted sheet such that said skirt hangs downwardly along said perimeter panel when said fitted sheet is positioned around said box spring, said skirt extending along said first lateral side and said second lateral side and said back side of said perimeter panel of said fitted sheet.
