Abstract
Provided are a material that achieves higher sensitivity and higher resolution of a photoelectric conversion device for imaging, and a photoelectric conversion device for imaging using the above material. A material for a photoelectric conversion device for imaging includes a biscarbazole compound represented by Cz-(Ar)m-Cz. Cz represents a carbazolyl group, Ar independently represents an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and “m” represents an integer of 3 to 6. At least one Ar represents a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group generated from naphthalene, phenanthrene, pyrene, or benzene.
Claims20
A material for a photoelectric conversion device for imaging, the material comprising a carbazole compound represented by the following general formula (1):
- wherein Cz represents a substituted or unsubstituted carbazolyl group;
- Ar each independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms;
- “m” represents an integer of 3 to 6;
- and at least one Ar represents an aromatic hydrocarbon group represented by any one of the following formulae (2) to (5):
- wherein “*” represents a point of bonding to adjacent Ar or Cz;
- and the aromatic hydrocarbon groups represented by the formulae (2) to (5) optionally have a substituent.
